During a recent (2022) trip to Bangladesh’s second largest Metropolitan area, and the largest port city, Partition Center was honored right from the Chittagong International Airport, to places in the city. A group of volunteers of Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) led by its president, a lawyer, Mr. Rabindra Ghosh, and other legal experts and volunteers who came to the airport for the ceremony. They continued their ceremony of honoring the visitor to local hotels. This was a big honor for the Partition Project, especially receiving thanks from the people on the ground. The local activists took the visitor to many places where they were protecting minority rights, including a meeting with a regional police commissioner.
Mr. Ghosh was nominated for Nobel Prize in Peace in 2022.
Activists also took the visitor to visit Hindu shrines and tourist attractions in the metropolitan area, including temples that existed over a millennium. They also helped to visit the ancestral home of Sri Chinmoy, an eminent teacher of yoga and meditation with headquarters of his ashram located within walking distance of ISPaD or Indian Subcontinent Partition Documentation Project. Sri Chinmoy honored Dastidar Family several tomes for their work for the poor.
