স্নান উৎসবে ঘিরে ব্যাপক নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। নারায়ণগঞ্জ বন্দরে
ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের তীরে লাঙ্গলবন্দে তিন কিলোমিটার এলাকা ক্লোজ সার্কিট ক্যামেরার
(সিসি ক্যামেরা) আওতায় থাকবে।
রোববার বিকেলে নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা প্রশাসকের সম্মেলন কক্ষে সভায় এসব সিদ্ধান্ত
নেওয়া হয়। আগামী ২৬ ও ২৭ মার্চ এ স্নান উৎসব হবে।
নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা প্রশাসক আনিছুর রহমান মিঞার সভাপতিত্বে সভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন
অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার মো. জাকারিয়া, বন্দর উপজেলার নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা মিনারা নাজমীন,
বন্দর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা নজরুল ইসলাম,
হিন্দু বৌদ্ধ খ্রিস্টান ঐক্য পরিষদের সভাপতি কমান্ডার গোপীনাথ দাস,
লাঙ্গলবন্দ স্নান উদযাপন পরিষদের আহ্বায়ক পরিতোষকান্তি সাহা,
সদস্য সচিব বাসুদেব চক্রবর্তী, জেলা পূজা উদযাপন পরিষদের সভাপতি শঙ্কর সাহা,
সাধারণ সম্পাদক সুজন সাহা, মহানগর পূজা উদযাপন পরিষদের সাধারণ সম্পাদক শিপন সরকার,
মুছাপুর ইউনিয়নের চেয়ারম্যান মাকসুদুল হক খান,
সদর উপজেলা পূজা উদযাপন পরিষদের সভাপতি দিলীপ কুমার,
সাধারণ সম্পাদক রঞ্জিত, মহানগর হিন্দু বৌদ্ধ খ্রিস্টান ঐক্য পরিষদের সভাপতি লিটন পালসহ বিভিন্ন
সরকারি সংস্থার কর্মকর্তা ও সেবা আশ্রমের নেতৃবৃন্দ।
অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার মো. জাকারিয়া বলেন,
নিরাপত্তার বিষয়ে আমরা সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্বারোপ করেছি। স্নান উৎসব উপলক্ষে
বিপুল সংখ্যক নিরাপত্তা কর্মী কাজ করবে। হাইওয়ের যানজট,
অজ্ঞান পার্টি অপতৎপরতাসহ বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে আলোকপাত করে এসপি বলেন,
এসব সমস্যা নিরসনে পর্যাপ্ত ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হবে।
জেলা প্রশাসক আনিসুর রহমান মিঞা বলেন,
এ বছর পূণ্যস্নান যাত্রীরা প্রায় দেড় কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে সংস্কার ও
পুণ:নির্মাণকৃত ১৬টি ঘাটে স্নান করতে পারবে। এছাড়া প্রতিটি স্নান ঘাটে মহিলাদের
জন্য পোশাক পরিবর্তনের কক্ষ নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে জানিয়ে বলেন,
খাবার জল সরবরাহের নতুন পাইপ বসানোসহ সব সুযোগ সুবিধার আওতায় নিয়ে আসা
হয়েছে লাঙ্গলবন্দের পুণ্যার্থীদের জন্য। পাশাপাশি মেডিকেল টিম,
ডুবুরি, ফায়ার সার্ভিসসহ বিভিন্ন টিমও কাজ করবে।

Extensive security
measures have been taken surrounding the largest Langolbandh Snan (bath)
Hindu festival. Three-kilometer
area at Narayanganj Bandar (port) on the
banks of the Brahmaputra at
Langolabandh will be covered by closed-circuit cameras (CCTV cameras).
On Sunday afternoon at the meeting room of the
Narayanganj District Administrator the decision was taken. On the forthcoming March
26 and 27 the Bath Festival will
be held.
At Narayanganj District Commissioner Anisur
Rahman Mia’s presiding the meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of
Police Mohammad Zakaria, Port Sub-district Executive Administrator Minara Najamen,
Port Police Station Chief Nazrul Islam, Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council President
Commander Gopinath Das, Convener of the Langalbandh Bath Celebration Committee Paritosakanti
Saha, Member Secretary Basudeva Chakrabarty, District President of the Puja (Hindu
Festival) Celebration Committee Shankar Saha, General Secretary Sujan Saha, Mahanagar (metropolitan) Puja Celebration Committee’s
General Secretary Shipan Sarkar, general secretary of the Council, Muchapura Union
Chairman Maqsudul Haque, Sadar (main) Upazila (sub-district) Puja Celebrations Chairman
Dilip Kumar, General Secretary Ranjit, Metropolitan Hindu Buddhist Christian
Unity Council President Lytton Pal and many other government officials and that
of Seva (service) Ashram (monastery.)
Additional Superintendent of Police Zakaria
said the security we have placed the highest importance on security. A large
number of security staff will be working for the bath festival. Highlighting
the highway congestion, Agyan (Unconscious) Party activities SP said, we will take
enough steps to counter these problems.
District Administrator Anisur Rahman Miah
said this year devotees will be able to have auspicious bath in 16 bathing
ghats (steps) rebuilt at a cost of one and a half crore (15 million) takas. In
addition to the construction of changing rooms for women in each of the bathing
ghats new drinking water supply pipes have been built at all the ghats of Langalbandh
for the pilgrims. Besides the medical team, diver, Fire Service and various
team also will work side-by-side.
